Back to School with me & Trust Insights!

The dog days of summer are behind us, there’s pumpkin spice in the air whether we want it or not, folks in some latitudes are looking for sweaters, and school’s in session.

Does it contain pumpkin spice?

A lot happened over the summer, and now that we’re back at our desks, I thought I’d catch you up on a bunch of things I and the Trust Insights team made over the summer that you should check out.

5 Not Free Things

1️⃣ My newest offering, AI for Writers, launched at the silliest time, peak vacation week. This course comes with skills, plugins, and code to help you help AI write less like AI, plus teach you WHY AI writes like it does.

2️⃣ In early August when I was starting to pick hot peppers, I launched our Deep Research Suite, a set of plugins and skills for any agentic AI system to help you do much better Deep Research. The suite is available now, and a mini-course is coming soon.

3️⃣After seeing many, many, many AI enablements go sideways, Katie and I launched our AI Enablement package, where we help you figure out what AI can actually do for your business.

4️⃣ In the middle of July when we were all sweating, we published 21 Use Cases of Generative AI for Marketers, a new compendium book. This is based on all the workshops I’ve done recently and is PACKED with prompts, exercises, and data, like a diet version of a workshop.

5️⃣ And just before vacation season, we launched GEO 201, the successor to our GEO 101 course. If you want to know the basics of AEO/GEO, the 101 course is the place to start. If you want to do competitive analysis, 201 is the place to go.

4 Free Things

1️⃣ Katie and I did an AMA in the dog days of summer (her dog Georgia made a brief appearance) which was a lot of fun and available for re-watch here.

2️⃣ If you haven’t tried it, our AI View tool helps you analyze a page to see what AI search tools see, and provides prescriptive advice (plus ads for the paid version).

3️⃣ During the summer, we also published a new academic paper on what jobs AI can take and what can’t. There’s two versions, a friendly, easy to read version and a full fledged, dense, academic paper.

4️⃣Just before Memorial Day, we launched our AI-Ready Marketing Strategy Kit, with four frameworks you can use with your favorite AI tool.

School’s back in session, and it’s time to get your learn back on. Enjoy all these resources, and see you on Sunday for the regular newsletter.
