In today's episode, B asks, how do I build a cheap GEO tracking tool for early stage founders and companies that can't afford expensive software packages? Very straightforward answer. Um you don't need a tracking tool itself, you need an analysis of how many people are asked are saying they found you using AI. That is the the simplest way to do this. So if you say um if you have a contact form on your website, and your contact form uh is has a free text field, an open text field, where someone you can write in, here's how I you know, and you ask the question, how'd you find out about us?

How'd you learn about us? You make sure that that free text field is goes into any kind of AI system, any kind of language model. It could even go into a Google sheet, and then you could have Gemini process it inside a Google Sheet. There's a there's a live stream on on my YouTube channel in the the live section uh from Trust Insights when we did that as on the Thursday for processing survey data. I think it was in January 2026.

Um and the the question is really simple. How'd you hear about us? Use AI to track how often the answer is AI, like chat GPT, Gemini, Claude, etc. If the answer is never, your AEO strategy ain't working, the GEO strategy is not working. If on the other hand, you're getting inquiries from external sources that are yo, yeah, I heard about you from Chat GPT or Claude or Gemini or Perplexity or what have you, then you know your your strategy is working.

There's no software to purchase, you don't have to spend any money, which is for you know for early stage folks is super important because you don't have a lot of money to begin with, do that. That's it. There's there's nothing else to do.
