Summary
In today's episode, I explain how to move beyond manual copy-pasting by bridging your AI conversations with other digital tools. Here's what this means for you. You gain the ability to automate the transition from raw AI-generated ideas to polished, published content. You'll also learn these concepts: using summarization to clean up conversational noise, switching between AI models for specific tasks, and employing automation tools like N8N to route data across your ecosystem.
Key Takeaways
- You'll learn how to use summarization to turn messy AI chat histories into structured outlines
- You'll discover how switching between different AI models improves both speed and analytical depth
- You'll explore how automation platforms like N8N connect your AI thoughts to publishing tools

In part four of Never Think Alone by thematic homage to Keith Razzi's Never Eat Alone from like 15 years ago. Today's part is called Bridging Brains. And this is all about connecting AI to other things. So part of what makes Genitive AI trouble for people to use is that the AI engine itself, it does stuff, it does really cool things, but then it stays in the system, and you have to figure out a way to get information out of it. We talked in parts two and three about getting information into it.
Now in part four, we're talking about how do you get information out of these things. What most people do most of the time, and again, there's no shade thrown here, is copy paste. Copy paste. And that's fine. There's nothing wrong with copy paste conceptually, but it at scale, it stops working as well.
Now, when we're talking about AI as a thought partner, that might be less um of an issue than when you're trying to build an app that scales to hundreds of thousands or millions of users. Uh you can't have a million people copy pasting, just does not work. When it's your personal thought partner, that's different. So you want to do a couple things here. In your conversation threads, and by the way, this is really important to do with local AI.
From time to time, ask the tool to summarize the conversation so far. What are the main points? If you have a tool that allows you to change models midstream, for example, Google's Gemini and the Gemini app allows you to toggle back and forth through all the different models. So you can have a live voice conversation with Gemini 2 Flash, which is very fast, and then switch to Gemini Pro and say, now, build me an outline of all the major talking points, disregarding all the waffling that we did, and just give me the final outline. It's a lot of what I did for this series.
The raw materials for this five-part series was a 40-minute conversation I had with Gemini back before saying, Here's my idea. What do you think about this? I don't like how you wrote worded that. Let's change this. What about this?
And all these different pieces. And what I end up with is a really solid outline at the end. Once Gemini 2 advanced 2.5 advanced weeds through all the the brand tangled Bramble conversation, it ends up with a really solid conversation outline that I can then use elsewhere. One of the things that all the tools do now very well, particularly if you if you're using Canvas mode, which you can see here, is you can export straight to Google Docs. And then in my Google Drive, I could use a tool like N8N to extract at scale all those different um conversations.
I could say, go into Google Drive and find me all my Gemini conversations. You've labeled them and named them appropriately. From there, you can export them programmatically and send them to other places. Let's see if I can get NPX N-A-N latest. Get N A N running here first.
And again that is now accessible. Turn on localhost. Let's go to sharing my screen. Let's create a new workflow. And I'm going to start with a manual trigger just because this is a demo.
Let's look for Google Drive. So there's Google Drive. I can search files and folders. I need to create a credential here. OAuth two.
I'm not going to do it right now. Because I'm sharing my screen. I don't want my credentials on screen. But I can search my files and folders, and then I could route that stuff. I can clean it up, uh merge it, for example.
I could uh do it. That's that's data transformation. I want slow. Um so I could take the data sets and use an if or a merge on them, append stuff, and then go in here to WordPress and create a post. And so conceptually, because there's a little more to it than this, I can get data out of my Google Drive, which is where I conversations with Gemini are, and bridge the brains of those conversations to something else, to blog posts.
Uh, if I wanted to, uh let's see. Is there a do I have a TTS in here? Google. Let's see if there's a Google TTS. There's a vertex chat model.
It looks like I'll have to make one. Um conceptually, I should be able to take the final product from something like Gemini, convert it to audio with a text-to-speech using Google Cloud. Why isn't there Google Cloud? I thought they that's a myth to not have Google Cloud API for voice and turn it to a podcast and then load that audio somewhere. I could send that audio somewhere if there's an API for it.
I could plug it into an API like the ones that Headliner. And now I have the contents of a YouTube video. So part four of Never Think Aloud is it then taking that thinking and bringing it other places. What could you do to bring this these ideas that are coming out of your head that you have conversations with AI about? Once you have that final summary and you say, Gemini summarize this.
And again, remember this is usable in Claude. This is usable in Chat GPT. This is usable in Gemini. You can you can store stuff in a Google Drive and all these different services. Or the cloud storage of choice.
Microsoft, their cloud is in there. Um AWS has a cloud in there. Uh any of the providers that you use, any of the major cloud providers have something, some kind of cloud connection from generative things. And of course, there's all the MCP stuff, which is essentially APIs for AI. That's a topic for another time.
But you can actually check the Trust Insights podcast for information about that. Anyway, the point is we want to bridge our ideas and turn them into content, maybe, in as automated a fashion as possible. So we're not just copy-pasting, copy pasting all the time. That gets old. Using systems like N8N integrated with the rest of your ecosystem allows you to take the thinking that you're doing aloud, condense it, and then publish it.
So that's the fourth part. In the fifth and final part, which is called agentic Actualization. We're gonna talk about how our thinking becomes doing. Stay tuned for that. Thanks for tuning in.
