Arrive Smarter

I’m loading up my iPod before heading back to Boston, and it occurred to me this simple thing:

With as much content as we have available to us – TED Talks, Google Talks, Google Employee Discussions, NY 2012, PodCamps, etc. – if you own the gear and don’t arrive at your destination smarter than you left, you’re not taking advantage of the technology.

If you have an iPod capable of video (and yes, I recognize many don’t, but for those who do…) load up your personal graduate school of life and arrive smarter.

  1. At any given time, I have 10 TED talks and 10 episodes of This American Life on my iPod. Never go without some type of content, but don’t get caught up in listening to it all.

  2. Very well said, sir. I count my blessings for podcasting and mp3 player every day during the two hours or so (one hour each way) I spend commuting to and from work each day. Pure brain food!

  5. I’m in the same boat as Bryan. I’ve been using the commute to listen to your podcasts as well as many others, helping me to be smarter and continue to grow.

Really, podcasts are the cassette tapes we used to play some 10 years ago or so. Only the delivery method has changed.

    Make it a great day!

The difference being we used to have to pay for cassette tapes. We are so fortunate to have access to so much great, FREE content.
