I'm doing this, and it's really great. I've got several blogs and news sources I'm reading. What I can't quite figure out is a practical way to erase the old posts from the Kindle. I know that when I'm setting them up in Calibre, I set it to delete posts older than 5 days, but I still have the old posts on my device. Is there any way to have Calibre automatically delete the old ones?

Great post. Thanks.

Why would anyone buy a Kindle when it is over priced, under-powered and mainly intended to tie the users into Amazon's expensive services of outrageously priced ebooks and magazines?

You can by a netbook or tablet laptop, especially used, for a fraction of the price and still download all the ebooks you want. I have over 800 ebooks including just-released novels and I have never had to pay for any of them.

In addition, my tablet PC will show videos, has a wi-fi connection, and a GPS mapping function. All in color, of course.

Another great post. I really like the posts you have done on how to slice and dice data. Data is the future of marketing and your posts on listening, filtering, and re-purposing data streams are highly relevant. Keep up the good work and keep bringing us tips on slicing and dicing data. Still waiting on the Yahoo Pipes episode of Marketing Over Coffee.

One other thing that you have to do: When you start Calibre the Output format is set to "EPUB" (right next to the big heart on the main screen). This format is not recognized on the kindle, you have to set it to "MOBI".

Then it rocks...
