PodCamp on a cruise ship

I’m going to PodCruise. Hell, I’m sponsoring. This is such an awesome idea – because after you factor in hotel and meals, attending a PodCamp usually costs a fair penny anyway.

Isn’t one of the rules of PodCamp that the event is free? Does that apply to “PodCruise”?

In this case, after reviewing Hank Otero’s basic planning worksheets, what’s being charged for is the hotel and food. The event itself is free, and a quick back-of-napkin cost analysis of your standard PodCamp (hotel plus food) should be equivalent to the cost of PodCruise.
