Tom Rath just cam out with Strengthsfinder 2.0, and marcus Buckingham with Go Put Your Strengths To Work. I think it is actually about finding what you are good at, and doing that, rather than beating your head against the wall about things you might be less good at.

A good round of working through The Artist's Way, by Julia Cameron, also helps to identify the internal things keeping you from success. It's tough, but all are worth it.

Chris: thanks for the response. It's a tricky balancing act between having the right mindset and doing the right actions while also staving off negative questions -- "What if I fall short?" "What if I don't have enough time?" "What if I DO succeed and don't know what to do next?" -- but it's key.

If I don't do it (for myself), who will?

Cheers.
